What is an advance screening?
Before a movie is released to the general public, often times the movie studio will allow advance screenings for analysis and promotional purposes.These advance screenings are free and require special passes to attend, usually given out days beforehand.
Does a ticket guarantee my admittance?
Not at all. Advance screenings are always overbooked to ensure the theater is full. Not only that, but certain rows are reserved for the press.
How do I know where the screening will take place?
The location of the screening area will be displayed on the ticket you download. If there are any special instructions regarding the screening, they will appear on the ticket.
What time should I arrive?
MysticCinema recommends A general rule would be to arrive at least two hours before the screening. However, if the film is very popular, you should plan to arrive sooner. No one will be admitted after the screening has begun.
Where should I go when I arrive at the theater?
When you arrive at the location, a line should be set up for the screening. If you’re first, check with the theater manager or employees and let them know which screening you’re there to attend.
Will there be security at the screening?
Due to the increasing threat of piracy, all advance screenings will have security. All bags are subject to being searched, and no recording devices will be allowed into the theater. This includes camera phones, voice recorders, and PDA’s with cameras. You will be asked to leave if you are caught using your cell phone during the movie. No exceptions. Efforts will also be made to ensure that “cutting” does not take place in the line.
What if the screening is full and I don’t get in?
You should always have a backup plan in case the movie is full. Research the area for restaurants and other places to patronize beforehand.
Are group tickets available to the screenings?
Group request are available for screenings and very likely if your group fits a similar demographic as the film. Group requests will only be answered if the studio wishes to provide your group with tickets. You can email us to request group tickets for a movie.
Do I need to show ID to be admitted to a movie screening?
Most likely, no. However, some movies are so popular that the studio requires ID. The MysticCinema ticket also states that we may ask for your ID.
Do you have movie screenings outside of Sacramento?
